Avoiding the Hack: Understanding 2-Factor Authentication
2 Factor Authentication or 2FA is one of the most important and easy to use tools in your cybersecurity toolbox as it allows a vendor to ensure that it really you trying to log into your account, make a purchase, make changes, or anything else and not a malicious actor trying to act like they are you. This is done by requiring a 2nd method of identification that is very time-sensitive such as a one-time text code, token, or a form of biometric (fingerprint, facial recognition, etc.) that only you can be in possession of. In this session, Warren will explain what 2FA really is, why it is so important and how to utilize it to secure important assets in your digital life.
